Tocolosida
TOCOLOSIDA(Τοκολόσιδα, Ptol. 4.1.14), the most southern place in the Roman possession in Mauretania Tingitana. ( Itin. Ant. p. 23.) Variously identified with Magilla, Fortinnear Sidi Casseni, and Mergoor Amergo.
[T.H.D]Station at one end of the Antonine Itinerary (23.1) in Mauretania Tingitana, 4.5 km S of Volubilis. A castrum 160 m square was built, probably in the reigns of Marcus Aurelius and Commodus, on the site of a hamlet destroyed in the middle of the 2d c. A.D. A small settlement, whose rampart was joined to the camp's rampart, grew up next to the castrum and seems to have outlasted the latter after it was abandoned. Only very limited excavations have been carried out on the site.
