Bagraudanene

BAGRAUDANE´NE (Βαγραυδανηνή, vulg. Βαγραυανδηνή, Ptol. 5.13), one of the cantons of Armenia, lying to the E., near the sources of the Tigris. The Tauraunites mentioned by Tacitus (Annals, 14.24) are placed by Forbiger (vol. 2. p. 602) in this district.
