Malata

MALATAaccording to an inscription, or MILATAaccording to the Peuting. Table, a place in Pannonia Inferior, on the Danube. As the inscription was found at Peterwardein, Malata was perhaps situated at or near the latter place. (Geor. Rav. 4.19; Marsilius, Danub. 2. p. 118, tab. 47.)
