Oresteum

Orestēum

(Ὀρέστειον) or Oresthēum (Ὀρέσθειον), also called Oresthasium (Ὀρεσθάσιον) by Pausanias (viii. 3). A town of Arcadia, southeast of Megalopolis, in the district of Oresthis. Its ruins, according to Pausanias, were to be seen to the right of the road leading from Megalopolis to Tegaea (viii. 44). Orestes died here.
