Pelethronium

PELETHRO´NIUM(Πελεθρόνιον), a part of Mt. Pelium, whence Virgil gives the Lapithae the epithet of Pelethronii. (Strab. 7. p. 299 ; Steph. B. s. v.;Verg. G. 3.115.)

(Πελεθρόνιον). A mountainous district in Thessaly, part of Mount Pelion, where the Lapithae dwelt (Georg. iii. 115).
