1. Serāpiōn, ōnis, m. (Σεραπίων), ein griechischer Eigenname, namentlich ein Schimpfname des P. Kornel. Scipio Nasika, weil er einem schlechten Menschen gleiches Namens ähnlich sah, Cic. ad Att. 6, 1, 17; vgl. Val. Max. 9, 14, 3.

Serapion

(Σεραπίων). A physician of Alexandria, who lived in the third century B.C., and belonged to the Empirical school of medicine. He was an opponent of the teachings of Hippocrates, but none of his works is now extant.
