Plouhinec

PLOUHINEC Morbihan, France.

The remains of Le Mane Vechenn, in the commune of Plouhinec, were excavated in 1970 and 1971. The substructures uncovered belong to a Gallo-Roman villa, with well-preserved walls faced with small blocks with alternate joints strengthened with iron. Five rooms with concrete floors and walls decorated with painted stucco were found, arranged around a small paved courtyard. About 50 m to the NW a small square monument was uncovered, perhaps a fanum.
