νεωκορέω, ein νεωκόρος sein, den Tempel fegen, überh. die Aufsicht über den Tempel haben, VLL Bei Plat. Rep. IX.574d, ἱερόν τι νεωκορήσει, scherzhaft für ἱεροσυλήσει gesagt, er wird den Tempel rein auskehren, d.i. gänzlich berauben ; vgl. Valcken Phoen. 534.
