Mobolla

MOBOLLA (Muğla) Caria, Turkey.

The town belonged in Hellenistic and Imperial times to that part of the Rhodian Peraea which was subject to Rhodes but not incorporated in the Rhodian state. It was perhaps a member of the koinon of the Tarmiani mentioned by Livy (33.18.3) and in several inscriptions found at or near Muğla. On the hill immediately above the modern town some insignificant remains no doubt represent the site.
