Polus
(Πῶλος). (1) A rhetorician of Agrigentum, introduced by Plato as a speaker in the Gorgias.
(2) A Greek tragic actor of much repute. He is said to have acted in eight tragedies on four successive days when seventy years of age (Plut. Dem. 28).
