• alter the state of the pores, a term of the Methodic school of medicine, Thessal. ap. Gal. 10.250, Sor. 2.28, Dsc. 5.6, etc.: —hence Subst. μετασύγ-κρῐσις, εως, ἡ, Id. 3.35, Sor. 2.16, Gal. 10.268: Adj. μετασυγ-κρῐτικός, ή, όν, δύναμις Dsc. 4.153, Sor. 2.15, Gal. 12.571. Adv. -κῶς v.l. in Ps.-Dsc. 2.166.

μετασυγκρίνω, (κρίνω), den Körper in seiner innern Beschaffenheit umändern, indem man die verderbten Säfte durch die Poren abführt, Kunstausdruck der Aerzte aus der methodischen Schule. Vgl. μεταποροποιέω.
