Bei Hom. ist υ stets lang, bei Ar. in der dreisilbigen Form immer kurz, Nub. 645, Vesp. 1504, 1514, Av. 1641, Lys. 948. Daher heißt wohl der Kompar. bei Hom. unregelmäßig ὀϊζυρώτερον, Il. 17.446, wie der superl. ὀϊζυρώτατος, Od. 5.105.
