and Iuvenāles Ludi. Scenic games instituted by Nero in A.D. 59 in honour of the first shaving of his beard. They were celebrated in a private theatre, and consisted of a great variety of plays acted by distinguished amateurs (Pliny , Pliny H. N. xxxvii. 19; Dio Cass. lxvii. 14).
