σίφᾰρος [ῑ], ὁ,

• top-sail, ἐπαίρειν τοὺς σ. Arr. Epict. 3.2.18, cf. Hsch. s.v. ἐπίδρομον (prob.): cf. σείφαρος. (The Lat. forms are sīparum, sīpharum, from which supparus pl. suppara (name of a garment) is to be distinguished.)
