ἑσταότως

ἑστᾰότως, Adv.

• standing still, quietly, v.l. for ἑσταότος, Il. 19.79. ἕστᾰσαν, 3 pl. plpf. of ἵστημι, they stood, Hom.: but ἔστᾰσαν, for ἔστησαν, 3 pl. aor. 1, they set or placed, Il. 12.56 (Aristarch., codd. aliq.), 2.525, Od. 3.182, al. (but the v.l. ἵστασαν is to be preferred). ἑστᾶσι, ἕστᾰτε, ἕστᾰτον, v. ἵστημι.
