SCAFATI Italy.

A suburban district of Pompeii, lying E of it on the Sarnus (Sarno). It is not known whether this was organized as a pagus. In the neighborhood, along the road leading from Pompeii to Nuceria, have been found villae rusticae and tombs to be associated with Pompeii.
