Ζωστήρ, ῆρος (ὁ) Zôstèr (auj. cap Bari) pointe de terre d’Attique, Hdt. 8, 107 ; Xén. Hell. 5, 1, 9 (cf. ζωστήρ 1).
Ζωστήρ, ῆρος, m. Gardner, Gardelegen (d.h. gürtend), nach Hesych., EM., Schol. Hermog. 3 p. 219 u. Max.Plan. 5.481 ed. W. ist der Ort so benannt, weil hier Leto den Gürtel löste, d.h. den Apollo gebar,

Einw. Ζωστήριος, St.B. Apollo, der hier mit der Artemis u. Leto (u. Athene) Altäre hatte, hieß davon Ζωστήριος, St.B., Hesych., od. nach EM. 414.20 auch Ζώστριος.
