περιηγέομαι, dep. med., um Etwas herumführen, τινὶ τὸ οὖρος, Einem den Weg ums Gebirge zeigen, ihn ums Gebirge führen, Her. 7.214 ; herumführen und dabei Alles erklären, beschreiben, περιήγησαι τὰ ἐν τῷ βίῳ ἅπαντα, Luc. Cent. 1 ; Mort.D. 20.1 ; bei Plat. Legg. VI.770b im Umrisse andeuten, συμπληροῦν τὸ περιηγηθέν. – Hesych. hat auch vom act. περιήγει, was er ἐζωγράφει erklärt.
