ἀείσκωψ,

• a kind of owl (cf. σκώψ), so called (acc. to Arist.) from not being migratory, perh. Ephialtes scops, Arist. HA 617b32. (Pl. -σκῶπες, but ἀείσκωπες Eust. 1524.6.)
