ἠρῐ-γένεια, ἡ, (ἦρι, γενέσθαι)

ἠριγένεια, ἡ, heißt Eos, die früh (ἦρι) am Morgen Geborene, oder die aus dem Morgennebel (ἀήρ) Hervorgehende, Kind der Frühe, Hom. oft, auch allein, Ἠριγ., Od. 22.197 ; Hes. Th. 381 ; der Morgen, Theocr. 24.39 ; Orph. Arg. 1183 ; Hesych. erkl. auch ἡ τὴν ἡμέραν γεννῶσα, den Tag, den Morgen hervorbringend, u. führt aus Aesch. (frg. 363) λέαινα ἠριγένεια, die im Frühling Gebärende, oder gar ἡ ἐν τῷ ἀέρι τίκτουσα an ; Leon.Alex. 26 (IX.353) vrbdt γενέθλιον ἠριγένειαν, Geburtstagsmorgen. Eigtl. fem. zu ἠριγενής.
