- set fire to, [ὕλην] Hdt. 2.107; [τὰ φρύγανα] Id. 4.69; ἤν τις ἐκείνας [τὰς ἕδρας] ὑποπίμπρῃσι Ar. Lys. 348 (lyr.); the pres. also in Plu. Nic. 16, Dio 44.
