χαμᾶζε, (wie ἔραζε gebildet, vgl. χαμαί, χαμάδις), adv., auf die Erde, zu Boden ; oft bei Hom., ἐξ ὀχέων ἆλτο χαμᾶζε Il. 3.29 u. öfter, ἧκε χαμᾶζε 8.134 u. öfter, χαμᾶζε κάππεσεν 15.537 ; Eur. Bacch. 633 ; χαμᾶζε πίπτειν Ar. Vesp. 1012. – Arcad. führt auch die Akzentuation χαμάζε an, welche Andere, bes. Draco, verwerfen.
