ἀμφιγνοῶ present active subjunctive 1st singular, present active indicative 1st singular of ἀμφιγνοέω
- to be doubtful or mistaken about a thing, τι Pl. Sph. 228e; περί τινος Isoc. 2.28; ἐπί τινος πότερον . . Pl. Grg. 466c; ὑπέρ τινος Procop. l.c.; ἠμφεγνόουν ὅ τι ἐποίουν they knew not what they were about, X. An. l.c.; οὐκ ἀμφιγνοῶ σε γεγονότα συστρατιώτην I am not mistaken in thinking . ., Plu. Pomp. 79:—Pass., ἀμφιγνοηθείς unrecognized, X. HG 6.5.26; but ἀμφιγνοούμενόν ἐστι is in dispute, Arr. Tact. 6.2, cf. Plot. 4.4.12.
