BEAUCAIRE-SUR-BAISE Gers, France.
From 1965 to 1968 at La Tourraque, a vast necropolis of the Barbarian and Merovingian periods was excavated. it contained more than 120 sarcophagai and was placed in the ruins of a 4th c. Roman villa whose floor was paved with a fine polychrome mosaic of geometric design.
