Temenothyra

TEMENOTHYRA (Τημένου θύραι, Paus. 1.35.7: Eth. Τημενοθυρεύς, Coins), a small city of Lydia, according to Pausanias (l. c.), or of Phrygia, according to Hierocles (p. 668, ed. Wess.). It would seem to have been situated upon the borders of--which name is probably only another form of the Temenothyriate--are placed by Ptolemy (Ptol. 5.2.15) in Mysia. (Eckhel, vol. 3. p. 119.)
