γλυφ-ίς, ίδος, ἡ, in early writers always pl. γλυφίδες (but sg., opp. ἀκίς, of the constellation Sagitta, Hipparch. 2.5.12),

γλυφίς -ίδος, ἡ [γλύφω] inkeping, keep (in de achterzijde van een pijl), meestal plur.: ἕλκεν νευρὴν γλυφίδας τε hij trok aan de pees en de keep van de pijl Od. 21.419; uitbr. pijl.
