ἀμετροεπής, Hom. einmal, Il. 2.212 Θερσίτης δʼ ἔτι μοῦνος ἀμετροεπὴς ἐκολῴα, ὅς ῥʼ ἔπεα φρεσὶν ᾑσιν ἄκοσμά τε πολλά τε ᾔδη, μάψ, ἀτὰρ οὐ κατὰ κόσμον, ἐριζέμεναι βασιλεῦσιν ; der dritte Vers erklärt das ἄκοσμα des zweiten, der zweite das ἀμετροεπής des ersten ; also = maßlos im Reden, viel u. unziemlich schwatzend.
