• scatteredly, here and there, σ. ἀπώλλυντο Th. 2.4 (v.l. for σποράδες) ; οἰκεῖν, i.e. not in communities, Pl. Prt. 322b, Isoc. 4.39; τὰ λεγόμενα σ. Arist. Pol. 1259a4; σ. τὸ πρὶν ἀειδόμενος, of Homer before Peisistratus, AP 11.442; σ. ἀναγέγραπται Plu. QConv. 2.629e; οἱ σ., opp. οἱ ἐλλόγιμοι Πυθαγορικοί, D.L. 8.91.

σποράδην, adv., zerstreut, einzeln ; ἄλλοι δὲ ἄλλῃ τῆς πόλεως σπ. ἀπώλλυντο, Thuc. 2.4 ; ἄνθρωποι ᾤκουν σποράδην, Plat. Prot. 322a, wie Isocr. 4.39 ; Pol. 3.22.10 ; καὶ ἀτάκτως, 8.32.9, und öfter.
