ἑτέρωθεν, auch ἑτέρωθε, Hes. Sc. 281, von der andern Seite her, so daß an zwei Seiten gedacht wird, wie beim Streit, Ἀτρείδης δʼ ἑτέρ. ἐμήνιε Il. 1.247 ; sp.D., auch ἐκ δʼ ἑτέρωθεν, Theocr. 22.91 ; allgemeiner, αὐτόθι ἢ ἑτέρωθεν Plat. Legg. III.702c. – Zuweilen scheint es für ἑτέρωθι zu stehen, wie bei ἕστηκεν, ἔσαν, Il. 3.230, 6.247, doch liegt immer ein von der andern Seite her sich Zeigen darin.
