περίβᾰσις, εως, ἡ, (περιβαίνω)

• going round, circuit, GDI 5075.72 (Crete); οὐρανοῦ ταχύτητα τὴν περὶ ταῦτα π. Corp.Herm. 5.5 codd.; ἐσχίσθω ὁ ἱμὰς τὴν ἀμφὶ τὸ οὖς περίβασιν let the bandage be slit so as to go round the ear, Hp. Art. 33, cf. Gal. 18(1).754.
