ἀποτραχύνω, make rough
ἀποτρᾱχύνω, pf. ἀποτετράχυκα D.H. Comp. 22:—
- make rough or hard: metaph., τὴν ἁρμογήν l.c.; but ἀ. τὴν ἀκοήν grate on the ear, Id. Dem. 43:—Pass., to be or become rough or hard, Thphr. HP 6.4.2.
